Armchair BEA Day 4 - “Beyond the Blog”

Armchair BEA Day 4 - “Beyond the Blog”

“If none of these apply we'd love for you to share a fun aspect about your blog or life that may be completely separate from books!”

I love taking pictures so here are some photos of my recent vacation to Ortonville, Minnesota.  I had lots of fun fishing and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery up there:

This is a clam that my dad caught and then released, I named it Cletus.  :)

An oddly symmetrical frog that I found outside one day.

There's lots of giant rocks around in the wildlife refuge because the area used to be full of glaciers.

This was a great fishing spot.

Here's a picture of me and the 20th bullhead that I caught at the spot pictured above on the first day we were there. :)

Midnite patrolling the upstairs of the house.

Best pancakes ever from Denny's - they consist of bacon, pecans, banana, and peanut butter.  (They were very good.)

Thrift store finds: 2 pairs of earrings, a copy of a movie edition of Addams Family Values, and an adorable beanie baby we named Herman (we keep him on the exercise bike now as a coach :)

Two for One Fish Special :)
This was definitely the best fishing day ever/also the best fishing story ever.  If you look you can see that the bullhead is what I hooked first and the northern just kind of went along for the ride (it's not hooked at all, it just bit the line and held on.)

    1. Thanks, I don't think I've ever seen a clam that big either (it was fished out of the Minnesota River so it makes me wonder what else is in there.)

    1. Yeah it was a very fun time. Yes happy clam indeed, we were just surprised to see such a large clam (we thought it was a turtle at first.) I for one didn't know clams that large lived in the Minnesota River. We usually catch and release too especially when we're dock fishing.

    1. We were on vacation in Minnesota and it is a really nice place (my parents have a small vacation house in a small town). Yeah it was perfect weather to be outdoors. :)
