Queen of Swords Review and Giveaway

I love the world building of this series with so many different planets and species. Then to have Sanctify, this one evil force out there trying to purify the world it's kind of like the bad guys are space Nazis. This means that you can't help but root for the good guys.

The good guys in this case are Ophelia and Boone. She's a Diviner (a kind of alien that believes in a goddess and looks to cards that let her do readings of the past, present, and future). He's a human but has a whole world pretty much depending on him. Their paths intertwine in a particularly spectacular fashion after spending a very hot night together. Things go from hot to downright intense the very next day when the cards show Ophelia something unexpected.

Ophelia and Boone's relationship has some great tension. Half the time they want to kill each other but at the same time they each can't stop thinking about the other. Their relationship is extremely rocky at first but slowly but surely it looks like they may just be together for the long haul.

This book is full of ferocious and fun characters that know how to have a good time and also how to fight their way out of almost anything. I like all the sarcasm and humor and definitely the sibling relationship between Boone and Jenny. It's also great that Jenny and Ophelia are two formidable females who know how to kick butt and don't need saving.

The end was good but I really wanted to know much more about what happened to these characters. There are just so many questions that I want to have answered. There was quite the sacrifice towards the end there and I want to know how exactly the characters handled that and what the repercussions will be for everyone. I guess I just wanted more of a wrap up to the story. With all that said though I still am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
