Armchair BEA Day 4 - “Beyond the Blog”
“If none of these apply we'd love for you to share a fun aspect about your blog or life that may be completely separate from books!”
I love taking pictures so here
are some photos of my recent vacation to Ortonville, Minnesota. I
had lots of fun fishing and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery
up there:
This is a clam that my dad caught and then released, I named it Cletus. :)
An oddly symmetrical frog that I found outside one day.
There's lots of giant rocks around in the wildlife refuge because the area used to be full of glaciers.
This was a great fishing spot.
Here's a picture of me and the 20th bullhead that I caught at the spot pictured above on the first day we were there. :)
Midnite patrolling the upstairs of the house.
Best pancakes ever from Denny's - they consist of bacon, pecans, banana, and peanut butter. (They were very good.)
Thrift store finds: 2 pairs of earrings, a copy of a movie edition of Addams Family Values, and an adorable beanie baby we named Herman (we keep him on the exercise bike now as a coach :)
Two for One Fish Special :)
This was definitely the best fishing day ever/also the best fishing story ever. If you look you can see that the bullhead is what I hooked first and the northern just kind of went along for the ride (it's not hooked at all, it just bit the line and held on.)
What lovely pictures! The fishing looks fun! *Waves at adorable pic of you* and the dog! So cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteWe did have a great time fishing. *waves back* yeah, I love taking pictures of Midnite because he knows how to be adorable.
You're a master fisherwoman, woman! XD And those pictures are so awesome! :) Can I haz some pancakes, please?
ReplyDeleteHappy Day Four of Armchair BEA to you!
My Armchair BEA Day Four entry
Yes, I was a fishing machine this trip. :) Thanks, I like taking as many pictures as possible while on vacation (and to prove some of my stories true.) Well if I could I would definitely share those pancakes with the entire world. :) :)
DeleteGreat pictures! My husband does a photography blog you should stop by it photosbydlmcgeen.com
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's cool I have always liked pictures and photography too. :)
DeleteWow on that fish! I love doing photography, too. I'm not very good..but SO fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks I don't know if I'll ever beat this fish story (I'm just glad that I have photographic proof.) :)
DeleteYeah I'm not the best at understanding a lot of photography, I just try to have fun with it too.
Nice photos! I don't think I have ever seen a clam that huge.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I don't think I've ever seen a clam that big either (it was fished out of the Minnesota River so it makes me wonder what else is in there.)
DeleteLOl at Beanie Babies.. remember when they were all the rage?!
ReplyDeleteHere's my day 4 post.
Yeah, my younger self was all about Beanie Babies for awhile. :)
DeleteGreat pictures! My beyond the blog is about my photography too :)
ReplyDeleteGreat fishing photos!
Thanks, that's cool, I'll have to check it out.
DeleteWhat a catch! We only have little clams here and there are fewer and fewer of them:(
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was quite the week. I was surprised that my dad caught a clam at all since we were in Minnesota. :)
DeleteNew to your blog here! It is so great to see this post - I love seeing what bloggers are like behind the screen and books. Fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ Stepping Out of the Page
Thanks for stopping by. :) Glad you like the pictures, I tried to show a little bit of everything I did on vacation.
DeleteLooks like you had an awesome time! I'm glad you guys let Cletus go. Happy clam. Tattooed Books
ReplyDeleteYeah it was a very fun time. Yes happy clam indeed, we were just surprised to see such a large clam (we thought it was a turtle at first.) I for one didn't know clams that large lived in the Minnesota River. We usually catch and release too especially when we're dock fishing.
DeleteLiving in Minnesota looks like fun! I love spending time outdoors, too, especially in summer.
ReplyDeleteWe were on vacation in Minnesota and it is a really nice place (my parents have a small vacation house in a small town). Yeah it was perfect weather to be outdoors. :)
