“The low vibration stopped.”

“Lying next to him, Sasha released a slow breath as the tremors in her stomach at last settled to a tiny quiver.”

“A minute later, they entered the stateroom, Dr. Roscoe carrying a briefcase-size med kit and Sasha still holding the halter’s straps.”

“Sasha stepped from the corridor onto the bridge and halted.”

“Sasha tore her gaze from where Dirk and his daughter had disappeared.”

“After two hours of rocketing in random directions using warp speed and shooting through the gridded matrix on more than one trajectory, Sasha prayed that she had thrown off any pursuers.”

“At the edge of the galaxy, a hundred parsecs from Sasha’s home planet, a distributed mass began to tug at the grid in the navigation display.”

“Sasha stepped from the weapons shop.”

“Sasha whirled, glimpsed the tall figure who gripped her, and bent for a side kick.”

“When Sasha returned to the companionway, the Leather-Clads and Aqualungs were gone.”

“As expected, four hours later, the ship entered Centor airspace and landed after a thirty-minute negotiation with government officials.”

“There’s got to be a way to disable the alarm,” Sasha insisted.”

“Sasha fired into the darkness below.”

  2. What he is depends on who’s side you are on. I like to think of him as one of the good guys though. He is one of my favorites. :)
