NOW CLOSED Vampire Haiku Contest - October 15 - October 31st

When Kimberly Pauley was at the La Vista Library I saw her speak which was lots of fun. Got to find out some of the background behind the books. One interesting fact that Mina's eyes in the second book were originally supposed to be green but the cover made them blue and it was cheaper to go back and change the color in the book versus the cover so thus she has blue eyes now. I was also able to get a set of signed books for myself and for one lucky person who wins this contest that I'll be having from October 15 - October 31st.

One set of books for me and one set for the winner of the Vampire Haiku contest, along with some cool tattoos and a bookmark.

Some examples as written by Brandy the tiny reverse vampire:

At night fangs we grow                  Sire by your hand
Blood is the food that we seek         I awake to walk the night
Scared men true fast food               Lead my thirst away

Blood gore fangs delight
Marks of the world of the night
Spared from mortal blight

Haikus will be judged by me and my sister Brandy aka the tiny reverse vampire, we'll announce the winner on Halloween.

Here's what author Kimberly Pauley had to say about the contest, http://www.kimberlypauley.com/2010/10/15/vampire-haiku-contest-at-bibliognome/
