Universal Alien Blog Tour Guest Post/Giveaway - Gini Koch

I adore Gini Koch’s Alien series. So of course I’m very happy to be part of the tour for the tenth book in the series, Universal Alien. Ten books might sound intimidating but I can’t recommend this series enough. It has tremendous world building, characters you’ll really find yourself caring about, and many moments that will make you actually laugh out loud. To celebrate the tenth book the blog tour is having top ten lists at each stop and a giveaway. Gini’s topic for this stop is, “Gini Koch’s Top Ten Albums to Play on Repeat.

Here’s Gini’s List: “Gini Koch’s Top Ten Albums to Play on Repeat 10. Saints of Los Angeles, Mötley Crüe
9. Pop Psychology, by The Neon Trees
8. Version 2.0, by Garbage
7. Stadium Arcadium, by The Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. The Truth About Love, by P!nk
5. Metallica (the Black Album), by Metallica
4. Folie a Deux, by Fall Out Boy
3. When the World Comes Down, by The All-American Rejects
2. Just Push Play, by Aerosmith
1. Get the Picture?, by Smashmouth”

Universal Alien will be released on December 2nd. Check out my review here.
Blurb for the book provided by the author:

"Being the wife of the Vice President isn’t easy. Especially when your talents lie in kicking butt and rocking out…

Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini find out just how easy it is for the wife of the Vice President of the United States to unintentionally insult an ally. Now they have to smooth things over with the Australian Prime Minister, pronto, or risk creating an international incident the worldwide anti-alien coalitions will be able to use to force Jeff to resign and the A-Cs to leave the planet.

But before Kitty can make things worse, a cosmic congruence and a little help from some powerful beings shoves her into another world -- one where she’s been married to Charles Reynolds for years and aliens don’t exist. She’s also landed in the middle of a huge conspiracy and is marked for death…but at least that’s business as usual.

Kitty’s not the only one confused, because the Kitty from that world has taken her place in this one. Now Alpha Team and the Diplomatic Corps have to make sure that no one spots that there’s been a switch, while keeping World War III from happening. And they have to do so while keeping this new Kitty in line, because she has views about what to do and how to it, and time is running out.

Can both Kittys save their respective days before it’s too late to go home to the universes they belong to? Or will one Kitty decide to keep the other’s life…forever?"

  11. I'm going with "Alien in the House". This is the point where Kitty and Jeff have to step up their game. It's not just a shootem up any more. Now they are on the big guys playing field..POLITICS! The dirtiest game in the universe.

  12. I always have had a difficult time deciding whether TOUCHED BY AN ALIEN or ALIEN TANGO was my favorite. Thankfully, I don't have to bother about that argument anymore. I also received an advance of UNIVERSAL ALIEN, and I believe this book reveals Gini Koch's talent as a SF writer to a depth I never imagined (or even knew we'd been missing out on). It's powerful. It's a real kick to the gut. And, it's now my favorite Kitty book.

  13. As much as I love the entire series I think Touched by an Alien will probably always be my favourite just because it introduced me to the series. Saying that I absolutely LOVED Universal Alien so that's now a close second :o)
