I'm a fan of anthologies because you get a great sampling of a lot of different kinds of writing and stories.  They are also a good place to discover authors that you might have never thought about reading before.  I also love retellings of fairy tales because they let you see old characters in new ways, so these retellings of rhymes should make for some intriguing stories.
