This book is so much fun and the villains really make it shine because you don't know if you can trust any of the monsters.
There are some great villains in this whole series but I was really surprised by this one.
Now of course I can't have a villains list without looking at some awesome Disney villains:
Ursula is such an epic evil character that you actually root for her at least a little bit. :)
Cruella has probably the best theme song and it's just so darn catchy.
Now of course one of the newest best villains thanks to Disney buying Marvel:
Loki is a villain that you can't help but love when he's on screen and after seeing the second Thor movie I can't wait to see what they do next with his character.

Gnome Story - Do You Believe?
* Welcome to Gnome Story where you can get a glimpse into the strange world of Bibliognomes. Every now and then a mini short story about a gnome will be posted.
Today, I'm happy to present a story written by my mom. :)
Do You Believe?
It was a brisk fall day as Bernard Gnome was walking home from school. The top of his gnome hat kept knocking the colorful fall leaves from the trees. As he ran along the path home he noticed his head was cold. Alas he had lost his gnome hat among the colorful leaves. He ran home tearfully crying to Mama Gnome, "my hat, my hat!" He cried to her it is lost in the woods among the colorful leaves.
After Mama Gnome calmed poor Bernard's tears she said, "That is okay Bernard, we shall retrace your steps to find it."
Before they left on the journey to find his hat she found Bernard an old hat that belonged to Grandpa Gnome. It was bright green with purple polka dots. Bernard said, "I don't want to wear that but Mama Gnome said, "if you loose it, at least we'll find it."
They went out the door on their journey to find the lost hat. Before they started down the lane, Mama started to chant, "Lost hat, lost hat, appear before me, lost hat, lost hat, show yourself." As they proceeded down the lane Mama Gnome repeated the chant.
Pretty soon the leaves began to twirl and dance and as they rose up into the sky, all of a sudden they fell and in the air there was the lost hat. Bernard cried out happily and to this day is still awed by Mama Gnome's magic.
The moral of course is that one should always belive in Mama Gnome Magic/wear a hat that doesn't blend in.

This is our new crow mascot at the library, my Mom crocheted him a hat to go over his Halloween witch hat. :)
These all sit right next to my computer.

Question of the Week - What book series ending made you the most mad/sad?
This honor definitely goes to Allegiant by Veronica Roth. This book just made me so mad/sad that I haven’t even found the words to write up a review yet. This is one book that will give you such a huge book hangover.

"Waiting On" Wednesday - Crash Into You
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week I'm waiting on...
Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
* Book will be released November 26, 2013
Check out the description from Barnes & Noble:
"From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane
The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life—that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker—a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.
Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks—no matter how angelic she might look."
McGarry's books are always fun with a side of crazy. These are the kinds of books that you can’t put down once you start reading. I’m looking forward to reading things from Isaiah’s point of view.

Super Storybook
5 out of 5 gnomes
This book is so much fun, it's definitely a Middle Grade book that I would recommend to anybody that loves fairy tales. The whole premise of the series is pretty great. This book has all the kids of famous fairy tale characters going to school to learn/agree to take over the role of their parent in the story so the cycle can continue.
Raven, the daughter of the evil queen from the Snow White story hasn’t exactly had an easy life. Her mom overstepped the bounds of her story and is the most evil queen that their world has known. She’s not antisocial like you think she would be either, Raven seems to take after her dad. I like all of Raven’s friends especially Maddie, the daughter of the Mad Hatter.
Maddie and all her Wonderland customs are awesome. Her sense of style is very different and the whole speaking in riddlish every now and then leads to some helpful parts in the stories. She also changes the structure of the book in an intriguing way.
Apple White, the other half of the Snow White story is really a leader at school. Everyone looks up to her and says how beautiful she is. She wants to be known for her smarts too though and is looking forward to being a ruler. Apple can't wait to start her story.
There are plenty of challenges as each character has to come to terms with their destiny/legacy for the future. Raven might not be the only character out there with secrets and questions about what is right.
I can't wait to see where the story goes from here. The end of the book foreshadows some suitably evil problems for the next book in the series.
