"Waiting On" Wednesday - Taken at Dusk

"Waiting On"  Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I'm waiting on...

Taken at Dusk by C.C. Hunter

* Book will be released April 10, 2012

Check out the description from Goodreads:

Kylie Galen wants the truth so badly she can taste it. The truth about who her real family is, the truth about which boy she’s meant to be with—and the truth about what her emerging powers mean.  But she’s about to discover that some secrets can change your life forever…and not always for the better.

Just when she and Lucas are finally getting close, she learns that his pack has forbidden them from being together.  Was it a mistake to pick him over Derek? And it’s not just romance troubling Kylie. An amnesia-stricken ghost is haunting her, delivering the frightful warning, someone lives and someone dies. As Kylie races to unravel the mystery and protect those she loves, she finally unlocks the truth about her supernatural identity, which is far different—and more astonishing—than she ever imagined.

I have really liked this series so far because of its mix of likable characters, humor, and all-around awesome paranormal goodness.  Kylie is a really intriguing character and I can't wait to see what all her power means and where exactly she falls in the realm of supernatural creatures.

  1. I own one ebook written by this author, but I still haven't found the motivation to pick it up. But likeable characters, humor and awesome paranormal elements sound too good to wait that much longer.

    1. It is really good. :) It's kind of like the Percy Jackson books where the kids are at a camp but in this series the kids are vampires, fairies, shapeshifters, werewolves, etc...
